A Week of Passion Fashion
I must admit that this week has been a busy one.
Sunday:
I attended and ended up MC'ing the Full Figured & Fabulous Fashion Show in Fayetteville. I lounged about in the VIP section of Hellas, and partook of the fresh air on the balcony. I of course set up shop and tested out my new display for Gilmore Glitz & Glam.
Monday:
This is a day of rest. If you ask me, it was much needed. After the weekend trip with the kiddos to Fayetteville, I needed a moment to collect myself, twist my hair, and work on the Glam Tour.
Tuesday
Tre and I woke up bright and early to experience the fun to be had on Tuesday. We were on a mission to pick up all of the jewelry for a photo shoot that would take place the next day. I made him a map to follow along with where we were going and what we were doing. First we stepped into the "office" (Kinkos Fedex) to make a few copies of a contract. Then we ventured off to Barnes and Nobel's. Tre enjoyed a book. I enjoyed a book. It was great. A little Olivia for him, and a little Crazy Rich Asians for me. We nabbed two items for the shoot and left for a meeting at Pullen Park. He had no idea what park we were about to go to, but once we arrived, he had lost his mind. Sand, slides, telescopes, a train, boats, a merry-go-round, and dozens kids, I know he thought, "Heaven? This is surely it, right?" There was a mixture of bouncing and sudden halts. He didn't know what to do. We picked up three more pieces and rushed off to Tre's therapy. Things went great.
From here we went home until it was time for another pick up at 7:30.
Wednesday:
Tre and myself spent the morning at tot class, where every parent, grandparent, and nanny asked his age. And, each time, there was a look of shock on their face when I explain that he turned four about a month ago. Other than this, he had a great time bowling, racing push carts, throwing beanbags, hurdling over mats, and being chased by girls. Afterwards we went to the library and enjoyed Story Time. He was so interactive, I love it, he loved it, and all of the other moms loved him. Now if only we could get him this excited to read at home. We then signed him up for his very on library card. He was excited for all of two minutes. That's one minute and 30 seconds longer than I expected.
We spent the rest of the day prepping and carrying out the fashion photo shoot for Gilmore Glitz & Glam's Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Stay tuned for more details. I want to thank the model, the wonderful photographer, and the assistants that helped with the kiddos and the heavy lifting (THANKS!!!)
Thursday:
HALLOWEEN!!! We went trick or treating. We went to the obvious spot: the mall. But then we went to a friend's neighborhood and racked up. We scored so much chocolate! I want to thank the good people of Wake Forest for their hospitality. We ended the night with tacos and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Can anyone tell me why they kept giving Chuck a rock? Poor kid.
Friday:
Adjusting the new merchandise on the website....ALMOST DONE!!!!
