Countdown: 10 days until I Graduate

When I was pregnant with Tre, I was absolutely terrified to tell my mother that I was pregnant. Matter of fact, I was so terrified that I never told her. My aunt told her. My aunt wasn't supposed to know either. I had only told my aunt who was a nurse (because I had no idea what to do), and my grandmother because I was obligated to call her for a reason I will not discuss. Either way, grandma told aunt, aunt told my mother. She called me, fuming and told me I was a coward. I just wasn't prepared to tell her that I disappointed and failed her.
I took the tongue lashing she offered as well as the silent treatment gave me for a few days (she couldn't stay away if she tried). When we finally talked again, I apologized that she didn't hear the news straight from my mouth, and then sobbed like a baby. I didn't know what to do next. I told her I didn't know if I was going to try to finish school without family being close by. I had seen other mothers who had to send their children back to their home states with their parents so they could finish up their classes. I knew I could never do that. I'd rather give up school than precious moments with my baby. My mom told me that it wasn't going to be impossible to finish, but she did tell me that it was going to be difficult. It was going to take sacrifice and dedication to make it.
3 years, 2 kids, and 1 marriage later, I am about to count down my last ten days until I finish my program and obtain my degree. Mommy, I made it. It took me a while, I stumbled, but I never quit. Thank you for your support. Dad, thank you for your support. Grandma Jessie, thank you for your support. Grandma Tyler, thank you for your support (I know you wanted to go to graduation, I'm sorry for not finishing sooner. I love you and I miss you).  Donna (aka best Mother-in-Law EVER), thank you. Jeffrey Moore, thank you for your support. Uncle Terry, a special thank you, because I wouldn't have gone to college without your influence and encouragement. And to anyone not mentioned, I am grateful for your support.

Cornell, thank you for everything, and I mean everything. You have invested in not only my education, but also in me. I wouldn't take back our journey for anything, because it has made us who we are today. Thank you for the push and motivation to finish (You're on deck, so get in a few practice swings, because hun, you're my designated hitter).

So, to celebrate this momentous occasion with the blogosphere, I'm posting a few countdown songs to countdown until my last day of class.
Let's start things off with something a bit classic, shall we?
