Fashion Friday: I Was a Bride, but Never a Bridesmaid.
I know what you're thinking: I have the phrase wrong. Always a Bridesmaid Never a Bride. For me, it is reversed. I have never been a bridesmaid.
Well, once. It was my father's wedding. It didn't really count. No bachelorette party, no bridal shower, no fun. But, as of March 11th, 2015, not only am I a bridesmaid, but I am the matron of honor. Thee Matron of Honor.
As a matron of honor, I'm going to try to be the best one I can be. I'll keep the bride as calm as possible. I'll offer her some suggestions, and I'll always give her my honest, yet thoughtful, opinion. Not including a dainty shower, and a kick-butt party. Brunch and limos everywhere. No, but really, my first task....bridesmaid dresses.
I am throwing options for dresses at her and the rest of the maids in a chat. I'm attempting to sell the idea of renting bridal gowns instead of buying them. Save a little money and get rid of a dress none of us will ever wear again. There are a few yays and nays on the idea. One of the yays is the fact that the dresses look stinking awesome. One of the nays? You can't try the dresses on. Oh poo!
Some considered sites include Renttherunway.com and littleborroweddress.com . I think I am preferring Rent the Runway over the latter because it offers more sizes.
I love this dress. The Bride's colors are Royal Blue and White. I obviously know that this is NOT royal blue. Do you all have any suggestions when it comes to high quality gowns for a group of gals who are ballin' on a budget? Please share.
Until next time,
