A while back, I answered a few questions in a survey from Black Opal. A few weeks later, I received several new products from Black Opal Beauty. They sent over their Even True Pore Refining kit, which includes the Pore Refining Gel Cleanser, the Pore Refining Toner, the Pore Refining Gel Serum, the Oil Free Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 15, and the True Color Pore Perfecting liquid foundation in Heavenly Honey.
Now that I've been using these products for several of weeks, I can give an honest opinion about Black Opal's Even True cleansing system. The smell is absolutely enchanting and refreshing. When I work up a lather from the gel cleanser, I can feel its beads exfoliating My skin. The toner is cooling as you put it on, and that's when the pleasant experience ends for me. Once the toner is on and dries, my skin starts to hurt. I have eczema oh my face, which means I have sensitive skin in certain areas. By the time I'm putting the gel serum and the oil free moisturizer on, my face is on fire. I usually leave my skin alone for a little while and let it breathe. Once its calm and a little less inflamed, I put on my usual primer and apply the black opal true color pore perfecting liquid foundation mixed with a Maybelline BB cream (I ordered the foundation a bit too light).
Overall, I believe my face looks very clear, but my sensitive skin does not approve. This would probably be best for someone with oily or combination skin.
