Hello friends, anklet season has returned! I've loved anklets since I was a little girl. My mother always wore them, irregardless of the season. A thin silver chain graced my mothers ankle and it showed off her highly arched feet. I asked for one while I was in elementary school, and my mother told me that it was a little too grown for my age. I begged and pleaded and she finally told me that I could have one once I "graduated" from elementary school (5th grade). I deemed it fair, especially since graduation was in June, and that's only a few months away.
She made good on her promise. I received a shiny new silver anklet that had hearts linked all the way through, and my initials engraved into one of those precious hearts. Needless to say, I lost it that summer in a swimming pool. You win some you lose some I guess.
Now, every year, I dub June the beginning of Anklet Season. I could spend the rest of May hunting for "The One". . . or . . . I can get off of my lazy butt and make one.
I found a cute little visual DIY on Pinterest today: A lobster clamp, a heart charm, a few jump rings, a thin linked chain, and a few jewelry making tools: chain nose pliers, flat nose pliers, and wire cutters. (The Original poster tags Harper's Bazaar as the source, but no luck.) Just a few materials and this anklet could be mine (or yours).
Any who, here is the DIY:
Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
Would you try this DIY? If so, let me know how it turns out :) If this isn't your cup of tea but you would still like to own a Anklet perhaps you would find one HERE or HERE.
Do you have a summer fashion trend that you follow religiously every year? If so, sound off, I want to know what you do.
