Friends! The Ones We Can Depend On! |
Mentors, Lifelong Friends, Business/Blogger Buddies, and Frequently called Friends
I believe that you need a couple of people in your phone to call and talk to at any given moment.
When I need to reflect about life and make tough decisions, I call my mentors. I like to have wise mature women in my corner to help steer me in the correct path. These women often have great advise especially since they've gone through many of their own struggles and are willing to pass down what they know.
Next I have life long friends. These are people who I have long-term relationships with. We're not necessarily in the same boat, but time and great jokes have kept us picking up the conversations where we'd last left off.
Business/ Blogger buddies are those who know what you're really into when it comes to your business or blog. They can relate to you because they're doing the same thing you're doing, or that you've done, or vica versa. These people have the smarts and know how to get it done, and they don't mind motivating you to keep on pressing forward to your goals and dreams (Just be sure to return the favor).
Finally you have the frequently called Friends. It's the group of people who are on your phone's main screen. You've clumped them together in one area so you know exactly where they are. These friends know your schedule and you know theirs. You talk to them at least twice a week (at least!) and you have more in common than you aught to. They keep it really honest, and you don't mind letting them talk your ear off, because you're pretty sure you've done the same to them.
Well, I'd like to take this time to wish one of my Frequently Called Friends a Happy Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday to Shanna Fife (Fifington, Lady, or Woman) of blog, Ms. Naturally Random. You can be a mentor at times, and your definitely a blogger/business buddy, but most of all you're a really great listener (and talker).
Enjoy turning 30! (And don't forget to tell me what it's like, cause it'll be a little while before I get there)
Until next time,
