Two weeks ago I attempted to recreate Rihanna's digital altered lipstick color. I failed. So time to redo the look with a few alterations and a hint from a friend and fellow blogger. So...here goes.
Step 1: wipe all oil off of your lips
step 2: apply black lip liner
step 3: apply red lipstick (Not really my cup of tea...can you tell?)
step 4: blot with tissue
step 5: apply black lipstick
step 6: admire black lipstick
Step 7: blend with lip brush
Step 8: blot again
Step 9: admire your handy work
Although the color is slightly off, I'm definitely in love with it. I'm not quite sure how they created that color (digitally) but I guess it's like a unicorn; both mystifying and mesmerizing, and of course a myth.
Do any of you have a few suggestions as of how to recreate this look? The only one I can think of is Deadly Nightshade® Lethal™ Lipstick by MANIC PANIC®. Or perhaps you know of a lipstick I could use? I need to phone a friend. Ask the audience. Use all of my lifelines.
