This week's Sunday Tea was inspired by a little detour I made on my way home from a recent event. I live right around the corner from a million furniture stores, but one day, a store across the street from my domicile started following me on social media and invited me to their sip and shops. At the moment I knew I would eventually have to see what's in there. So, on a kid free day, I decided to peak in and see what the fuss is all about.... definitely worth it.
Here are the pictures from my exploration. I took my time and enjoyed the scenery.
Fast forward to today. I am out and about with the family after church the hubby asks where do I want to go. In my mind I immediately said, "Anywhere where I can spend money." Lol. No but really. I sat there and thought to myself. Is there anything that I really need or want. The only thing I could come up with was a better looking home. A well decorated and inviting space to come home to and just say, "Aaahhh I love it here. I never want to leave." I long for a clean hotel look, mixed with an art gallery...and a fashion boutique. Yep. That's my style, and it's what I desire...oh and skirts. I also would like more skirts. Yeah....I can't help it.
So I've compiled a list of my favorite shops, diys, and home inspiration links. Enjoy.
1. Of course Inspirations Home Decor & More makes the list. They've inspired the post. They not only carry fantastic and original pieces, but they have a zillion other things in there as well: Mud Pie Diaper bags, like the one I received from my best friend in an earlier post, Lilly Pulitzer accessories, clothing and jewelry, and baby clothes.
2. Want to add some pizzazz to your indoor potted plants? Might I suggest some DIY Copper Pots from Poppytalk? Their so simple to make, you may even make a few and give them out to friends and family.
3. I also love Furbish, as I've stated in my Raleigh's Queen for a Day post. I absolutely adore Furbish, they have decorative items plucked straight out of your favorite glam chick flick or girly magazine.
4. A cute diy for my girls is this little hideaway. I know they'd love it (or at least Lilly will now, and Stacie will later). This simple DIY comes from Thrifty and Chic.
5. I found a cheap and easy way to keep the curtains updated. LizMarie + a table cloth + curtain clips equals floor length curtains on a dime.
6. One of the designers from Inspirations Home Decor & More, creates her own furniture and it's available at One of a Kind Find and Design
Until next time,
