I'm expecting tears, self-pity, and a lot of disappointment. Shopping for preggo wear with a less than impressive budget, and a waistline that fat stores bank on, is not the easiest of tasks. I'm working within this crazy tri-fecta of cost, style, and size. Usually the things that fit my budget will fit my size but not my taste. The items that do fit my taste may not necessarily be in my size or they could be waaay out of my price range. I can never win all three. Something will always be compromised.
Of course, this isn't my first ride at the rodeo, so I have a few ideas up my sleeves. I'll be dusting off my trusty rusty sewing machine, locating some nice material and making myself a few solid pieces that I can rotate nicely. Skirts will be my go to. I'm extra hot due to this bun in the oven, so pants are completely out of the question! Right now tutus are trending, and I've decided that this will be my look for the pregnancy.
Since I'm going to blow up, I may as well look like one of those happy ballerina hippos from Disney's Fantasia. Were they graceful? Who cares! But, they were enjoying their tutus. I'll pair 4 custom tutus with whatever tops or blouses I can get over my body, a pair of flats, and all of the mommy confidence in the world.
WISH ME LUCK!
