All About the Glam: The Anti-Aging Treatment You've Forgotten

All About the Glam: The Anti-Aging Treatment You've Forgotten

What's the One Anti-Aging treatment you've forgotten about? Out of all the treatments people put themselves through to look younger, many women aren't aware of one of the main features that specifically shows your age:
Your HANDS!

It's one of the oldest and truest "secrets" that still holds water to this day, and sadly we still don't care. The lack of care we show our hands ages us. No matter what miracle cream we're putting on our faces, our hands tell the tale.
So, to help, I'll offer you a few tips to take great care of the hands that handle and take care of the rest of you.

1. Five must haves:
What to keep near your sink
1. A moisturizing soap
2. A fingernail brush
3. An orange stick
4. A moisturizer
5. A sealant (like a Shea butter)

2. Protect your mitts.
When cleaning around the house, invest in a good pair of rubber gloves. If you don't use them already, they may seem funny at first, but your hands will thank you in the long run.

3. Treat cho self!
I know weekly manicures at the salon or spa may seem like a stretch to many of us, but you don't always have to sit in someone else's chair just to pamper your hands. Kits are available to give yourself a weekly treat, like Satin Hands by Mary Kay (I love it!) Or you could simply make your own. Put together a scrub, a rich lotion, a thick cream or ointment, and add in a cuticle oil for kicks. Do this once or twice a week and keep your hands looking gorgeous.
Don't forget your nails! Be sure to keep your nails looking clean and maintained. This means file, trim, polish, or whatever you need to do to keep them looking spectacular.

4. Take that extra step.
Many of us have a nightly routine to wash the day away: washing, treating, and moisturizing our faces. Those of us who are using anti-aging or prevention creams can and should use them on our hands as well. A dab will do ya. Follow with a cuticle cream and a sealant to keep all of that goodness in over night. And, if you're extra fancy, head out and locate moisturizing gloves. I promise you, your hands will feel extra soft...like baby seal skin soft.

Following all of these steps may or may not lead to a career in hand modeling. Either way, no one will know your age when they take a look at your perfect hands.
