Operating in humility and gentleness, patience, dealing with others in a loving manner, and peace are all character builders. They create the characteristics of a Christian. There are plenty of times when I feel like my christian character is being tested, but I try with all of my being to not let it be compromised. If I believe in who I say I believe in, and I announce it to the world, I am now held as a representative of my God. I want nothing more than to spread his word, and I cannot do that if my light, my character, has been dimmed.
I encourage you to check yourself the next time someone is testing you, or pushing your buttons. And, when you do fail, I want to remind you that God's grace covers your flaws.
