Sunday Afternoon Tea: June 14th How to Be Raleighs Queen for a Day.

I want to show you how to get the royal treatment, right here in Raleigh. Everything from prime entertainment and shopping, to primping and dining. I've got you covered, queens.

1. Morning walk at Lake Lynn. Work up a sweat shawty! Because even royalty needs to stay in shape.

2. Shower and dress: Skater dress and gladiator sandles, please!

3. Early morning mini photo shoot at Dorothy Dix. The landscape is impeccable. The greenest grass I've ever seen for a deserted mental health institution. No wonder the city wants to turn it into a park.

4. Brunch at farmer's market. Fresh food!

5. Take a walk in the NC State Rose Garden aka JC Raulston Arboretum. Take pics please.

Summer Solstice Family Ice Cream PartySunday, June 21 – 6:00 pm-8:30 pm

It's back! Celebrate the longest day of the year with your family having fun and eating ice cream in the beautiful gardens of the JC Raulston Arboretum. Enjoy NC State Howling Cow ice cream and all the toppings on the patio of the Ruby C. McSwain Education Center. Head up to the Event Lawn to enjoy oversized lawn games and fun craft activities as the day winds down. Finally, make your way up to the A. E. Finley Foundation Rooftop Garden for a wonderful sunset view.

6. Shop in Papyrus. I LOOOOOVE stationery supplies. New pen? Yes please! New notes and envelopes? Yep! A fresh notebook? Oh yes, thank you.

7. Spa visit at Umstead hotel! Mud bath, anyone? No? Just a mani/pedi please... and a facial... and a massage. Thanks. Careful though. The mani/padie will run you $120, without tip. Want a great experience without the brutal cost? Try Tips 2 Toes in Briar Creek. Who says you can't be a queen on a budget?

8. Purchase macaroons at La Farm in Cary. Yummy. Chocolate and Raspberry are the best!

9. Shop at Affordable Chic for vintage and local made items. I'm not going to lie, it makes me feel like I'm a little girl wandering around her fabulous grandma's bedroom.

10. Peek into Vestique for scarves, shoes, and jewelry.

11. Barnes & Nobles because who doesn't love a fresh hardcover book and Starbucks all in one location?

12. See Furbish's new location and envy their homegoods while becoming inspired at the same time.

13.Tea time at The Olde English Tea Room. Come for the food, but enjoy the experience. (Note: This is the moment where you really start to feel like a queen.)

14. Wander around Charming Charlie's until I find a bag for Lilly that she can't live without.

15. Visit Hancock Fabrics for new head scarves and skirt material

16. Shop at Bijuju for cute accessories (note: the Raleigh store is moving )

17. Stop by Moon & Lola and say hello to the lovely baubles and jewels
