A June 2014 Ipsy Review!

I've been receiving a monthly subscription of the Ipsy bag via my best friend, who loves me dearly. This makes the 9th or 10th bag I have received and I realized that I have never written a review. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?

This month's goodies include a Be a Bombshell Mascara, Jessie's Girl Liquid Eye Liner, NYX Butter Gloss, Dove Pure Care Dry Oil, and an Olive & Enzyme Cleaner by Skinn, Dimitri James, all in a Rebecca Minkoff makeup bag!

I'm not a HUGE fan of the Lash Out Mascara by Be a Bombshell simply because it has a funny smell. Not a, man this is old, smell, just a weird smell. It works like a charm though. I love the way it looks when it dries, leaving my lashes fuller and more noticeable.

I have to say that the Jessie's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has to be my favorite liquid eyeliner to this date. I actually have a love hate relationship with liquid eyeliner. I love the way it looks, but I can never get it on!!! Fortunately, Jessie's Girl has made it effortless with their pen. I got it right on the first try. I will be purchasing more of this in the future (thanks Ipsy!)

I'm already a faithful consumer of NYX, so receiving a new shade of gloss in their from their Butter Gloss collection was awesome. Everyone else has been wearing an orange lip color due to the summer trend, but Apple Strudel, a peachy coral shade, reminds me that I can wear a similar trend in a dainty hue.

The Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment with African Macadamia Oil was alright. I used it to prep my hands to take down a twist out. I prefer something a bit thicker for my tresses than this oil. Thanks, but no thanks.

The SKINN DIMITRI JAMES Olive and Enzyme Cleanser Rich Balm Make-up Remover & Deep Cleansing Mask was pretty decent. The scent reminds me of an orange cream-cicle. The consistency felt very creamy and oily. Bad news for my pregnancy acne, but great news for my pregnancy induced eczema. I've tried it both as a cleanser and as a mask. I prefer to use it as a mask over just as a basic cleanser.

I hope some of you found this helpful if you had considered purchasing any of these items. I hope you find this helpful if you've ever considered subscribing to a monthly beauty club, box, or bag.
