My New Hair Care Go To: A Product Review |
As a 4c natural (yes, I'm using hair typing. It just makes things easier), I find it more than difficult to manage my mane. It feels like a brittle Brillo pad from time to time, no matter what product I put in it. Not to mention, shrinkage can be a real nasty word that I'm not going to say or type. My hair tells me often that it wants moisture, but anything that I put in it, it just laps it up and asks for more. That is....until now.
I'm not how sure you all are with Dark and Lovely's anti-shrinkage product, but I'm telling you today I'M A BELIEVER! My mother brought over a jar of Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Curl Defining Crème Glaze for me to try out. The directions want you to use this product for a wash and go, but I say Nay nay! I shan't wear a wash and go ever again. I instead use the Curl Defining Crème Glaze in combination with Ms Naturally Random's Kitchen Mixes Shea Butter (coming in 2015) to create soft, comb-able, manageable hair. My hair + a comb or brush usually equals disaster, but the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Curl Defining Crème Glaze opens new styling doors and makes a few more things possible. Twist outs are effortless, detangling is a cinch, and bantu knots are a breeze. This supposedly wash and go styler, makes for the perfect moisturizer. Go figure. Depending on your usage, your supply could last a decent amount of time. I saturated my hair once a week and it lasts a month.

I would like to try the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Coil Moisturizing Souffle next, but I'm thrilled that I finally found something that works for me.
